State Biofuels Promotion

The Wisconsin Office of Energy Independence (OEI) is responsible for promoting Wisconsin's energy independence goals as well as the state's biofuels industry. Specifically, OEI will ensure that 25% of Wisconsin's transportation fuels are generated from renewable sources by 2025. In addition, OEI serves as a single-point of contact for citizens, businesses, local units of government, and non-governmental organizations pursuing biofuels development, energy efficiency, and energy independence.
